Bases of OperationsDuring the first one and a half year of operations Aircess' AN-8 aircraft were operating from Angola where Aircess enjoyed being the only cargo operator in the country. However, the booming cargo business between the United Arab Emirates and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS, the states of the former Soviet Union) required Aircess to establish and maintain a major base of operation in the State of Sharjah, UAE, in order to process and consolidate the massive amount of cargo generated by more than 500,000 CIS passengers per year. It was a matter of time before Aircess' base in Sharjah became the company's headquarters of operation.
